Cash stolen from Sec 27 liquor vend

Chandigarh: Around Rs 65,000 in cash was stolen from a liquor vend in Sector 27 here on the intervening night of December 6 and 7. According to the police, complainant Gurpreet Singh reported that unknown persons managed to steal the cash from the cashbox of the liquor vend. The accused entered the liquor vend after breaking open the locks of the shutter. The incident came to light in the morning when an employee found the locks broken. A case has been registered and an investigation initiated. — TNS
