Mohali, August 13

Two days after a car was taken away at gunpoint at Sector 80, the Mohali Police are still groping in the dark.

The Swift car, belonging to 27-year-old Paramjit Singh from Basian village near Chunni, was taken away by two youths.

Sources said the police had procured the CCTV footage, but that too was of little help.

“There is no development in the case. Investigations are on," said inspector RP Singh, station house officer, Sohana police station, where a case under Section 382 of the IPC and relevant sections of the Arms Act has been registered.

Paramjit Singh had gone to his uncle's place to have lunch. The youths approached the victim asking him about some route. One of them pulled out a pistol and fled with the car.
