CHANDIGARH: A car caught fire at the grain market in Sector 26 here today.

Chandigarh, January 6

A car caught fire at the grain market in Sector 26 here today. The Hyundai car, bearing Punjab’s registration number, was parked in the market area when it caught the fire.

Eyewitnesses informed the Fire Department about the incident. A fire tender reached the spot and doused the flames. However, by then the car was completely burnt. Nobody was injured in the incident.

A daily dairy report (DDR) was lodged at the Sector 26 police station and an investigation has been initiated.
