BPCL to play IOC for trophy

IOC will face BPCL in the final of the 39th Inter-Petroleum Cricket Tournament. 

On Saturday IOC registered an eight-wicket win over HPCL, while BPCL beat ONGC on coin toss after the match could not be held due to wet outfield conditions.    

Electing to bat, HPCL scored 128/ 6 in 20 overs, with Tanvish Vaze hitting a brisk 45. Akshand Rao made 19 runs, while Yashraj added 13 runs to the total. 

Rajesh Pawar was the most impressive bowler for IOC, claiming 3/13.

Needing 6.45 runs per over for victory, IOC reached home in 16.3 overs with eight wickets to spare. Ankush Bains remained undefeated on 48, while Ravi Kant Shukla hit an unbeaten 39. 

Earlier, the first semifinal match between ONGC and BPCL was decided on coin toss. BPCL won the toss and sailed into the final, which is scheduled to be played here on Sunday. 

Meanwhile, ONGC will take on HPCL in the third-place match.
