New delhi: Former Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has been appointed the chairman of the Congress Lok Sabha campaign committee for Chandigarh.

New delhi: Former Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has been appointed the chairman of the Congress Lok Sabha campaign committee for Chandigarh. Bansal, a former MP from the city, will head a 21-member campaign committee comprising local leaders, including Subhash Chawla, Pawan Sharma, Kamlesh, Harphool Kalyan and HS Lucky among others.

A 14-member coordination committee for the LS elections in Chandigarh will be headed by Asha Kumari, AICC in-charge for Chandigarh, and will consist of Bansal, Ram Pal Sharma, Sheela Devi, Vinod Sharma, Surinder Singh, Kesar Singh and Krishan Lal among others. Devinder Singh Babla will chair the Chandigarh LS election publicity committee, which comprises 15 members in all. 

The election management team for the city will comprise chairman DD Jindal with Bhupinder Badheri, SS Tiwari, Ahmed Ali and Om Prakash Saini as members. Mukesh Bassi will head the media coordination panel, which has Sandeep Bhardwaj, Gurbaz Rawat, Yadvinder Mehta and Rameshwar Giri as members.
