Bankers take to novel way, offer roses to loan defaulters

Punjab National Bank officials on Sunday held a silent and peaceful demonstration against loan defaulters in the tricity. The bankers offered them roses, requesting them to repay the dues. 

As many as 30 officials of the bank wearing white t-shirts and carrying banners reading “Recovery Campaign “visited residences and premises of two big defaulters, including Fertichem Cotspin Ltd and Walia Traders. The officials visited the residence of  Suresh Singhal & others in Sector 28, Chandigarh. Fertichem Cotspin Ltd owe an amount to the tune of Rs 40 crore to the bank. The officials presented rose buds to the family members of Suresh Singhal.  The team then went to Holiday Inn at Sector 3, Panchkula. TNS
