Bakeries in Mohali raided

Mohali, June 18

A team of the Health Department raided various bakeries in SAS Nagar, especially in the Balongi region, on Monday, under the ‘Mission Tandarust Punjab.’

RS Kang, District Health Officer (DHO), and Food Safety Officer Rakhi Vinayak checked the bakeries.

While disclosing the details about the raids, the DHO said at some places, sanitation conditions were not up to the mark and instructions were issued in this regard. Moreover, bakery owners were also instructed to obtain licence from the FSSAI. They were also warned that if they did not follow the instructions, a strict action would be initiated. During the raids, five samples of food items were also collected. —TNS
