Ayush, Arpit shine in gymnastics

Ayush Aggarwal was adjudged best gymnast while Arpit Maurya claimed floor exercise gold on the concluding day of the 32nd Punjab State Gymnastics (U-10) Championship, held here on Wednesday. 

Both Aggarwal and Maurya trains under gymnastics coach Samir Deb at Punjab Institute of Sports, Mohali. They started practicing gymnastics at the age of six.  In vault table event, Aggarwal claimed the top position by scoring 16.75 points. Manraj claimed the second position by scoring 16.60 points, while Bhaumik finished third with a score of 16 points. 

Both represented Mohali district in the championship. Meanwhile, Maurya claimed the floor exercise gold by scoring 16.10 points. 

Aggarwal remained second with 16.5 points, while Patiala lad Ush Sharma finished third with a score of 15.35 points. Aggarwal was also named best gymnasts of U-10 category as he scored a total of 32.80 points. 

Manraj claimed the second position by scoring a total of 31.70 points and Ush finished third with 31.05 points.
