The second day of ongoing three-day international conference on integrative medicine and holistic healing witnessed deliberation on ‘inner healing powers’ at NIPER here today.

Experts discussed present-day healthcare technologies and ancient wisdom and role of alternative therapies, holistic healing and spirituality.

The day started with a session by Charanjeet Kaur from The Earthy Adobe, Mirror Meditation, on ‘going deep within and inner healing and change’.

Dr Vijay Girdhar, HoD of the Psychiatry Department, GMSH-16, was present.

Pandit Manish Uprety from the Fellow Royal Asiatic Society and co-founder of the Ayush Darpan Foundation talked about how ayurveda could support healthcare and wellness in developing countries.

The other speakers included Rachna Gupta, chairperson and meditation trainer, Swami Vivekanand Pyramid Trust Ludhiana, who talked on ‘guided anapanasati meditation from breath to healing’ and Dr Sachin Gupta, oncologist from Max Hospital, Mohali.
