Avneet wins four medals at Police Games

CHANDIGARH: Olympian and shooter Avneet Sidhu has clinched four medals, including a gold medal, in different rifle shooting competitions at the World Police and Fire Games at Los Angeles.

Olympian and shooter Avneet Sidhu has clinched four medals, including a gold medal, in different rifle shooting competitions at the World Police and Fire Games at Los Angeles.

Avneet has clinched one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the World Police and Fire Games, the Punjab Government stated in a release here today.

Avneet is posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police in Punjab.

Sidhu had won a gold and a silver medal in the 2006 Commonwealth Games 2006 held at Melbourne. She also won a bronze medal in the 2006 Asian Games at Doha.

Over 12,000 athletes from across the world participated in the sports and fire fighting events during this year's World Police and Fire Games. The 11-day event will conclude on August 17.
