Auto driver makes off with courier bag

An auto driver stole a courier bag from Sector 21. The delivery boy had gone to deliver a courier at a house, when the auto driver stole it. 

According to the police, Ranjit Singh, who works as a delivery boy with a courier company, complained that he had gone to a house in Sector 21 to deliver a courier on Thursday. He had left his bag on his motorcycle. 

On returning, he found the bag missing. It contained 33 courier packets, worth around Rs 30,000.  

The CCTV footage was scrutinised by the police and it was found that an auto driver had stolen the bag. 

A case has been registered in this regard at the Sector 19 police station. 

Two women nabbed  for theft bid 

Two women have been arrested for a bid to steal a purse containing cash and jewellery from Kalagram. 

According to the police, the complainant, Dr Anish Garg, a resident of Sector 20, reported that the two women tried to steal his wife’s purse on January 24.

The women were caught and the police were informed about the incident. A case has been registered at the Mauli Jagran police station.
