Athletic Club win twin state titles

Athletic Club lifted twin titles on the concluding day of State Volleyball Championship, held at the Sector 7 sports complex, here today. 

In the final of senior men category, the side defeated Panjab University campus club 26-24 14-25 21-25 22-14 25-18 in a neck to neck played final match. Chandigarh police defeated DAV College, Sector 10, 25-11 25-10 25-20 to finish third. Meanwhile in the women's category, Athletic Club defeated MCM Club 25-11 25-18 25-20 to lift the championship. Hospytek club beat Panjab University campus club 25-20 25-18 25-14 to finish third. In the final of boy's junior category DAV, Sector 15, defeated DAV, Sector 8, 25-11 25-18 25-10 to win the title while Punjab University Campus defeated Hospytek Club (B-Team ) to finish third. In girl's category, Sport Complex, Sector 7, secured first position by defeating DAV, Sector 8, 25-09  25-07 25-10 while Hospytek Club finished third 25-04 25-18 25-18.
