Fun and Frolic marked Ankur School's annual fete. The chief guests were Dr Meenakshi Malhotra, Dean of University Instructions; and Prof Neera Grover, President, School Management Committee. The cultural programme started with the invocation to Lord Ganesha, which was followed by Rajasthani dance 'Ghoomar'. Goan dance was performed by tiny tots of pre-primary wing. Senior students amazed the audience with a soulful rendition of the sufi song 'Jugni'. The audience enjoyed while playing a vast variety of interesting games such as feed the dragons, fortune wheel and break the handi.

St. Soldier International Convent School, Mohali

Athlokidfest 2017 was organised by St. Soldier International Convent School, Mohali, in which students of classes play group to III participated enthusiastically. The synchronised march past by the students of classes VI and VII, led by NCC cadets, was a delight to watch. A vibrant bunch of tiny tots walked past spreading social awareness and communicated their messages through banners and placards. Participants exhibited tremendous amount of zeal and spirit to fight to the finish in all fun races such as pyramids race, plant a tree race, froggies race, dwarf race, sack race, etc. The taekwondo drill showcased self-defense techniques.

Aanchal Int’l School, Chandigarh

Aanchal International School, Sector 41-D, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual day function “Expressions-17” amidst great zest. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Kindergarten students performed on the poems. Students of primary classes performed international dances like Salsa. English play showing the addiction of using Internet and patriot mime were presented. Junior as well as senior students showed various yoga asanas and kicks and punches of taekwondo. The function ended with the traditional dances like giddha and bhangra. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

Doon Public School, Panchkula

Doon Public School, Sector-21, Panchkula, celebrated its annual cultural eve amidst great zest. Rajesh Jogpal, HCS, Commissioner, MC, Panchkula, was the chief guest. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp. The principal welcomed the eminent guests. This was followed by Ganesh Vandana. 

St Mary's School, Chandigarh

St Mary's School, Sectoor 46, celebrated its annual day "Aureole-2017" with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor. The function was a perfect venue for children to showcase their inherent abilities and talents through an array of entertaining programmes. Maj Gen MS Kandal (retd), chairperson, Education Committee, UT, Chandigarh, was the chief guest. 

Shivalik Public School, Mohali

Shivalik Public School, Mohali, wore a festive look. The pre-primary and primary wing of SPS Mohali hosted its annual cultural function based on the theme Unity in Diversity. Chief guest Ashwini Luthra, Chief Income Tax Commissioner; and guest of honour Chandni Luthra, Senior Vice-President, ITDC, appreciated the performances of students. Tiny tots left the audience spell bound with their performance on Ganesh Vandana. 

Learning Paths School, Mohali 

The athletics meet of Learning Paths School, Mohali, concluded at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. In boys' U-14 100m race, Yuvraj Singh won the first position while Aasees bagged the first position in girls' U-14 category. In boys' U-12 100m race, Naman won the first position while in girls' U-12 category, Sova Guriya got the first position. In boys' U-14 400m race, Shrey Oberoi won the first position, while in girls' U-14 category, Lesha won the first position. In boys' U-12 400m race, Naman won the first position while in girls' U-12 category, Sudiksha Talwar bagged the first position. In boys' U-10 400m relay race, Anmol, Sharang, Samarpartap and Udbhav stood first. The girls' U-10 200m race was won by Muskan, Sayana, Upjot, Samiksha. In boys' U-10 200m race, Saksham won the first position while in girls' U-10 category, Trivanshikha won the first position.
