Chandigarh: Students of Classes III to V at the AKSIPS-45 organised a science exhibition. Students displayed their models on machines, universe, food energy conservation, health, plant and animal life. Director-principal Jasmine Kalra applauded efforts of the students and encouraged them to keep up the good work.

Budding taekwondo players brought laurels to the institution by winning medals at the prestigious 6th Tricity Taekwondo Championship, held at Shaheed Udham Singh Bhawan, Sector 44, Chandigarh. The championship was organised in collaboration with the Chandigarh Taekwondo Association. Spectacular performances were exhibited by Ansha Pathania, who bagged a gold medal, whereas Ashwin Kumar, Anupreet and Harsh Gautam bagged silver medals in the U-14 category. They all are students of Class VI. Principal Monica Sharma congratulated them for winning accolades.

Golden Bells, Mohali

Students of Golden Bells Public School, Sector 77, Mohali, visited a temple on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. They were explained about the importance of the festival. The children also made queries about the festival, which were answered by their teachers. School principal Anjali Chaudhry threw light on the life of Shiva pooja and asked the students to follow the path of righteousness. TNS


National seminar

Chandigarh: The Department of Laws, Panjab University, will organise a two-day national seminar, sponsored by the ICSSR (North-Western Region), on the theme of, “Law and Justice: Emerging Issues”, From February 15. Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore will be the chief guest while Justice BS Chauhan, Chairman, Law Commission of India, will be the keynote speaker. TNS
