The IET Bhaddal management at Ropar has decided to start aircraft maintenance engineering courses in coming days. Campus director JS Kanwar said the talks in this regard were in final stages with the Director General of Civil Aviation and in the second phase, a commercial pilot training school will also be run by them.

IET Bhaddal is a remote centre of IIT Bombay and associate institute of IIT Ropar.

Kanwar said from session 2018, the new programme of pharmacy had been introduced having diploma and degree-level courses. The management has taken initiative to start different new undergraduate and postgraduate courses from this session, including BSc (medical, non-medical, ATHM), BCom (Hons), BSc math (Hons), BSc Fashion Technology, MSc (chemistry, physics, mathematics) and MCom, he added.
