Air Marshal Nambiar visits Ambala IAF station

Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar, PVSM, AVSM, VM & Bar ADC, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Western Air Command, visited the Ambala Air Force Station today.

Nambiar was accompanied by his wife Luxmi Nambiar, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (regional). They were received by Air Commodore DS Joshi, Air Officer Commanding, Ambala Air Force Station, and Himangi Joshi, President, AFWWA (local). On arrival, the AOC-in-C was presented the guard of honour. He inspected various squadrons and reviewed their operational capability. During his interaction with the air warriors, he congratulated them on their commendable service towards maintaining high levels of operational preparedness.

Luxmi Nambiar, President, AFWWA (regional), had an overview of various welfare measures undertaken by the AFWWA for the benefits of Sanginis and their family members for improving the quality of life at the Ambala Air Force Station. She interacted with the Sanginis and highlighted the importance of women empowerment.
