Cold wave failed to deter enthusiasm of the participants at the Parade Ground at Sector 17 where Parimal  Rai, Adviser to the Administrator, unfurled the national flag on Republic Day on Friday.

Bracing extreme weather conditions and the dense fog, schoolchildren presented a colourful programme. Rai also awarded residents and employees for their meritorious services. The tableaux showing various policies and programmes of the government were shown during the function.
