Chandigarh, May 28

Students seeking admission to Chandigarh-based colleges can start the registration process from June 4.

A prospectus will be made available on the official website of the Director, Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, on the same date and the registration fee is Rs 70.

The last date to apply online for admission to all centralised courses is June 26. The courses included are Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA I), Bachelor of Computer Science (BCA I), Bachelor of Science (BSc I), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom I) and Masters of Commerce (MCom I).

The cut-off list will be available after the final merit list is displayed on July 4. Sports gradation will be held at the GGDSD, Sector 32, on June 27 and June 28 from 9 am onwards.

The Chandigarh Administration has taken the initiative to accept online application forms for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses in government colleges and a majority of the courses in grant-in-aid colleges for 2019-2020.

For the convenience of applicants, a centralised counselling would be held for certain undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

This practice is likely to save applicants a lot of time, energy and money.

All applicants have to apply online and no offline application submission mode is available. However, the hardcopy of the online application form is required to be submitted in respective colleges on the day of counselling as per the admission schedule given in the prospectus.

If an applicant is interested in applying to more than one course/college, then he/she has to fill separate online application form for each course/college.

Applicants may refer to the joint and college online prospectus for the details of courses, number of seats in various colleges and the procedure for applying.
