Sherwood Convent, Mohali

Kusum Singhal, Sherwood Convent School, Mohali, has been crowned as the most experienced principal of the year during the National School Awards. Prof Mohammad Akkhtar Siddiqui, Former chairman, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), presented the award.

St Xavier’s, Panchkula

A poetry recitation competition was organised in the junior wing of St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula. Tiny tots from pre-nursery to KG displayed their oratory skills with enthusiasm and confidence. They won the hearts of the judges with their gestures, expressions and voice modulation. Headmistress Cynthia Shear applauded the participants.

St Joseph’s, Chandigarh

A talent hunt competition was organised by the Primary II Block of St Joseph’s School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh. Students of Class IV exhibited their talent in various activities such as dancing, mono acting, enactment, poetry recitation, art and craft, magic show, singing and mimicry. Winners of various competitions were awarded for their exemplary performances.

Mount Litera Zee, Panchkula

Mount Litera Senior Secondary School, Panchkula, organised its annual exhibition on ‘Learning by doing’. Students exhibited their talent in various subjects such as science, social studies, hindi, english, art and craft, languages. Focusing on environment conservation, water harvesting and modern technologies, young mind of the school presented various working models, charts, paintings.

Solitaire International, Panchkula

The festival of Eid was celebrated with zeal and fervour at Solitaire International School, Sector 20, Panchkula. A discussion was held about the importance and significance of the festival. Students and teachers offered their prayers for THE well-being of humanity and prevalence of peace in the country.

SRI AUROBINDO SCHOOL, Chandigarh

The table tennis team of the school brought laurels by winning the third position in an inter school table tennis tournament which was organised by the Department of Education at Table Tennis Hall, Sector 23, Chandigarh. tns
