8 vehicles burnt in transformer fire

Eight vehicles were burnt after a transformer caught fire at Old Indira Colony, Mani Majra, on Sunday night. Sources said after the transformer caught fire, the vehicles, which were parked near it, also caught fire. Residents informed the Fire Department after which fire engines were sent to the spot. 

However, by the time the fire was doused, eight vehicles, including two auto-rickshaws, had already been burnt. Police teams were sent to the spot to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.

The police said one person, Ajaib Singh, was injured while dousing the fire. His car and motorcycle were burnt in the incident. BJP candidate Kirron Kher also visited the area and met residents in this regard. TNS
