8 more dengue cases reported from Chandigarh

Eight more dengue cases were reported from the city today. Dr Gaurav Aggarwal, Nodal Officer of the UT Heath Department for dengue, reiterated that in case of dengue death the department would not hesitate in sharing the information.

With the addition of eight more cases, the dengue count has reached 368 in the city.

So far, six persons have died of swine flu, while 57 persons tested positive. However, no fresh swine flu case came up today.

Mani Majra is one of the worst-affected areas. As many as 100 cases have reported from this area.

Dr Aggarwal said humid condition coupled with pleasant temperature provides a congenial condition for the breeding of aedes egypti mosquitoes.
