550 reflective jackets given to cart-pullers

CHANDIGARH: To mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the UT traffic police, in association with Satbir Singh Anand of Anand Sales (India), organised a road safety awareness drive for rickshaw and cart-pullers and distributed 550 reflective jackets, reflectors and blankets among them at Parade Ground in Sector 17 today.

To mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the UT traffic police, in association with Satbir Singh Anand of Anand Sales (India), organised a road safety awareness drive for rickshaw and cart-pullers and distributed 550 reflective jackets, reflectors and blankets among them at Parade Ground in Sector 17 today.

The meet was attended by Shashank Anand, SSP (Traffic), Jaswinder Singh, DSP (Traffic), Saurabh Joshi, Legal Adviser, Madan Mandal, president of rickshaw union, and Mangal Singh general secretary of the union. The meet emphasised the need for following traffic rules and safety measures and the importance of using cycle track.
