50-year-old ends his life in Sec 25

Chandigarh, June 14

A 50-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his house in Sector 25 here on Thursday. No suicide note was found at the spot.

The police said the victim, identified as Surinder, hailed from Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. His family had gone to the native village and he was alone at home when he took the extreme step.

The victim’s neighbours saw him hanging and called up the police, who rushed Surinder to the GMSH-16 where doctors declared him brought dead. — TNS
