4 booked for thrashing, robbing Kharar resident

Four unidentified youths allegedly thrashed a Kharar resident and snatched Rs 15,000 from him in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to information, complainant Abhishek Kumar, who belongs to of Himachal Pradesh and lives in Shivajot Apartments, said on September 12, when he was returning from duty around 3.20 am, he was stopped by the suspects who parked their car in front of him.

He said two youths having sharp weapon and rods came out of their car and pushed him out of his car and asked him to give whatever he had.

He said when he protested, he was badly beaten up. Later, he was admitted to the Civil Hospital, Kharar.

The police said a case under Sections 379-B, 323, 324 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code had been against the four unidentified persons and further investigations were on.
