A-32-year-old man sustained injuries after the canter he was driving rammed into a truck, parked near Aashirwad Palace on the Zirakpur-Panchkula stretch. The victim, Ajay Kumar, a resident of Bapu Dham Colony, had been admitted to the PGI, Chandigarh, where he is undergoing treatment, said the police.

Avtar Singh, investigating officer, Dhakoli, said the incident took place on Wednesday night when the victim was coming from Panchkula towards Zirakpur. When Ajay reached near Aashirwad Palace, he could not notice the truck, stationed on the highway. The victim was rushed to the PGI. —OC
