Three persons thrashed and robbed a Hallo Majra resident during the wee hours of yesterday. One of the suspects was nabbed by people after the victim raised the alarm.

According to the police, complainant Santosh, a resident of Hallo Majra village, alleged that he was going towards Sector 19 on foot around 5.30 am when three persons attacked him near Sanjay Colony, Industrial Area, Phase 1.

The victim was thrashed by the suspects, who then robbed him of his purse containing Rs 1,900. The suspects then escaped from the spot.

The victim chased the suspects and raised the alarm following which passersby managed to nab one of them.

The police were informed about the incident, who arrested the suspect, Sonu, a resident of Sanjay Colony. A case has been registered at the Industrial Area police station in this regard.
