3 more held in murder case

CHANDIGARH: The local police today arrested three more suspects in the murder of a 35-year-old Mauli Jagran resident, who was stabbed to death on February 18.

The local police today arrested three more suspects in the murder of a 35-year-old Mauli Jagran resident, who was stabbed to death on February 18.

Victim Laxman Kumar was stabbed to death near the Vikas Nagar bridge. The police had yesterday arrested victim’s wife Seema, her paramour Virender, alias Ajay (20), a neighbour of the victim, and a juvenile.

Based on their interrogation, three more suspects were identified. The suspects, Ravi Kumar (19), Vicky (19) and Rahul (18), all residents of Colony No. 4, Industrial Area, were arrested in the case. They will be produced before a court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Seema and Virender, alias Ajay, were produced before a court, which remanded Seema in judicial custody and Virender in one-day police custody. — TNS
