3 held with intoxicant tablets

Dera Bassi: The Lehli police on Wednesday arrested Kamaldeep Sharma of Togapur village, Hariwnder Singh, alias Sonu, and Suni Kumar of Dappar and recovered 14,000 microlit tablets from them. The accused were coming from the Ambala side in a car when they were stopped for checking at a naka. The accused were sent to two-day police remand after registering a case under the NDPS Act. oc

One held with 8-gm ‘chitta’

Dera Bassi: The police arrested Parwinder Pal Singh, a Zirakpur resident and recovered 8 gm of ‘Chitta’ from his possession on Wednesday. An SUV coming from the Ambala side was stopped for checking at the naka near Jawaharpur village. The police recovered 8 gm of ‘Chitta’ from the vehicle. A case has been registered a case under the NDPS Act at the Dera Bassi police station in this connection. OC
