22-yr-old auto driver ends his life in Maloya

CHANDIGARH: An auto driver allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Maloya on Sunday night.

An auto driver allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Maloya on Sunday night. No suicide note was recovered from the spot.

The police said the deceased had been identified as Suraj (22). He was rushed to the Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16 where doctors declared him brought dead.

The autopsy was conducted on Monday and the body handed over to the deceased’s family.

Inquest proceedings in the matter have been initiated at the Maloya police station.

The deceased is survived by his wife and a six-month-old child.
