21 students of Canadian varsity visit PU

CHANDIGARH:A delegation of 21 students from Simon Frazer University (SFU), Canada, visited Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, today, along with their coordinator Katharine Kan.

A delegation of 21 students from Simon Frazer University (SFU), Canada, visited Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, today, along with their coordinator Katharine Kan.

Vice-Chancellor Arun K Grover, Dean International Students Deepti Gupta and faculty from the Department of Education Prof Kirandeep Singh, Prof Raj K Gupta and Dr Kuldeep Kaur, welcomed them. Research scholars from the Department of Education accompanied the students of SFU from their hotel to Capitol Complex.

During the visit, the SFU students and the PU research scholars interacted with each other regarding their concept of internationalisation of teacher education. There was a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor where he acquainted the students about the rich history of Panjab University and Kan shared details of the International SFU Teacher Education Programme.

After the campus tour, they had their lunch at the International Student Hostel, PU. The SFU students were presented a token of love by the university.
