Unidentified miscreants set two motorcycles on fire at Dadu Majra Colony on Wednesday night.

Sources said an Apache motorcycle and a Hero Honda motorcycle were set on fire around 11 pm. Local residents came to know about the incident following which the Fire Department and the police were informed. 

After receiving the information, a fire engine reached the spot and doused the fire. The police said the two-wheelers were owned by Neeraj and Bharat. 

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter at the Maloya police station.

Bid to set house on fire

In another incident, Sandeep, a resident of Sector 38 (West), reported that unidentified miscreants threw petrol on his house in a bid to set it on fire.

He claimed that some household items and a scooter parked outside the house were burnt. 

A fire engine was rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The police were informed about the incident, who have initiated an investigation into the matter.
