2-day mango fest ends on sweet note

PANCHKULA: Fancy dress, painting, mango-eating and group dance competitions marked the culmination of the 28th two-day mango festival at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore, today.

Fancy dress, painting, mango-eating and group dance competitions marked the culmination of the 28th two-day mango festival at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore, today.

Vikas Yadav, managing director, Haryana Tourism Department, gave away prizes to the winners.

In the fancy dress competition, Kavneer Singh bagged the first prize while Ashmit Kaur and Aradhaya won the second and third prizes, respectively.

In the mango-eating competition (junior wing), Kanav of DC Model School, Panchkula, stood first, while Jaishree of Chitkara International and Simran of DC Montessori School, Mani Majra, secured the second and third prizes, respectively.

In the senior wing, Parsav Ram of Pinjore won the first prize, while Sadhu Ram of Pinjore and Deepak Ghosla from Punjab ranked second and third, respectively.

In group dance (junior), Bal Bharti School was declared first, while Saint Soldier, Dhakoli, and Alpine School got the second and third prizes, respectively. In the senior category, Amravati School, Pinjore, got the first prize, while Vivekanand Millenium School and Sant Bir Singh School, Kalka, bagged the second and third prizes, respectively.

In painting contest (Junior), Nishtha Sharma of Amravati School, Surajpur, bagged the first prize, while Kanav of DC Model School and Anupama of Amravati School stood second and third, respectively.

In the senior category, Raman of Amravati School, Himanshi of New India Senior Secondary School and Priyanka Singh of Satluj Public School, Panchkula, ranked first, second and third, respectively. — TNS
