A 16-year-old boy has been apprehended by the crime branch of the UT police for snatching a mobile phone.

According to the police, the juvenile and his accomplice had snatched a mobile phone from a cyclist, Amarjit Singh, near the Kali Bari light point on October 9. The miscreants were riding an Activa scooter when they had committed the crime.

The police said the juvenile, a resident of Mohali, was apprehended at Ram Darbar, Phase-II. The scooter used in the crime has been impounded and the snatched mobile phone recovered from the suspect.

The second suspect in the case is yet to be arrested.
