14-yr-old girl recovered from friend’s house

MOHALI: A 14-year-old girl, who had gone missing from her residence at Mohali village on Wednesday afternoon, was recovered from her male friend’s house, located in the same village, today.

A 14-year-old girl, who had gone missing from her residence at Mohali village on Wednesday afternoon, was recovered from her male friend’s house, located in the same village, today.

The police suspected rape but would take action in this regard tomorrow only after getting her medical report.

The girl was found unconscious in the room of her friend, who along with his cousin, has been absconding after the incident. The girl has been shifted to the Mohali Civil Hospital in Phase VI.

According to the police, she had gone missing yesterday. Her family members, who had the inkling of her friendship with the boy in question, went to his house yesterday but he denied having any information about her.

Today, they again went to the boy’s house and recovered the girl from there. When the family members informed the police, the boy, along with his cousin, who was also with him since yesterday, fled. Parents of the boy were away for two days to attend a marriage function.

The girl’s family alleged that she was given some intoxicants by the boy and his cousin.

The police said they had received a complaint in this regard. “Action would be initiated after going through the girl’s medical report tomorrow,” said police officials.

Admitted to hospital

The girl was found from her male friend’s house, located in the same locality. The girl was found unconscious in the room of her friend, who along with his cousin, has been absconding after the incident. The girl has been shifted to the Mohali Civil Hospital in Phase VI.

On Thursday, they again went to the boy’s house and recovered the girl from there.
