Patiala, December 4

The North Zone Culture Centre (NZCC) is organising the fifth Nora Richards National Theatre Festival in the city.

The play, ‘Ham Dono’, directed by Lakh Lehri, was staged on the first day of the week-long festival at Kalidasa Auditorium here on Monday. The festival is being organised in association with the Sarthak Rangmanch Patiala and the Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy.

The play delivers a message that a person can be happy in old age. It lays importance on the need to live in the present as Dr Harpreet Singh Khurana always awaits his daughter and thinks about the past. He laments his old age. On the other hand, Sarita Lal, a patient, teaches him how to live a life to the fullest as she sings, dances and enjoys her life. — TNS
