‘Assailants came for Rambir’

AMBALA: The assailants, who killed ASI Suresh Kumar, on June 2 in Naraingarh, had actually come with a motive to kill Rambir, who is an eyewitness in the murder case of JBT teacher Session Kumar Judge.

The assailants, who killed ASI Suresh Kumar, on June 2 in Naraingarh, had actually come with a motive to kill Rambir, who is an eyewitness in the murder case of JBT teacher Session Kumar Judge. Suresh Kumar was posted as the security person of Rambir.

The Ambala police have also recovered the weapon used in killing ASI Suresh Kumar during the five-day remand of the three suspects (Prince, a resident of Mahesh Nagar, Rahul Kumar, a resident of Mahesh Nagar, and Subham, alias Ritik, a resident of Mahesh Nagar, Ambala Cantonment) in connection with the case.

Vijay Kumar, brother of Session Kumar Judge, had claimed that the target was Rambir. Vijay said, “Some accused, who are in jail in connection with my brother’s murder had sent the assailants to kill Rambir.”

Superintendent of Police Mohit Handa said, “The weapon used in the crime has been recovered. We have come to know about another accomplice. Efforts are on nab him.”

Answering a query he said, “The target was Rambir and there are possibilities that they have links with the accused lodged inside jail.”

After the completion of their remand the suspects were produced before a court, which sent them to judicial custody.
