Chandigarh, August 18

Betting big on Indian market, IT firm Tech Mahindra is eyeing public, private, state and Central government projects. The company intends to increase its revenue from the domestic market from around 3% of the total global revenue to 10% in the next three years.

In Chandigarh and Punjab, the company is eyeing e-governance projects, including smart city, emergency response system and sensor-based irrigation system etc.

Sujit Baksi, President, Corporate Affairs, Tech Mahindra, who was in the city today, said: “We have requisite expertise needed for large government projects as we are largely technology-focused company and worked as system integrator by putting the solutions together. We have already developed a command centre in Jaipur and Dial 100 emergency response system in Uttar Pradesh.”

The command centre in Jaipur is a high-tech, modern central police command centre, which helps in surveillance, vehicle tracking and mob control. It is equipped with facilities to conduct video surveillance, analyse call recordings and track vehicles among others.
