TCS m-cap up by Rs 16,539 cr on buyback plan

The scrip of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ended with over 2% gains on Wednesday, adding Rs 16,539 crore to its market valuation, on the company’s plan to buy back shares at its Board meeting later this week.

The scrip of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ended with over 2% gains on Wednesday, adding Rs 16,539 crore to its market valuation, on the company’s plan to buy back shares at its Board meeting later this week. The stock gained 2.43% to end at Rs 1,824.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. During the day, it rose by 2.86% to Rs 1,832. PTI

Joinwal takes over as SBI general manager

Subhash Chand Joinwal has taken over as General Manager, State Bank of India (Network-III), Chandigarh. He will head Jammu and Shimla modules comprising Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. He started his career with SBI in 1985. Prior to this, he has held various assignments in retail banking, credit management, agricultural banking and NPA management. TNS
