No TDS for PF withdrawals of up to Rs 50,000

No tax would be deducted at source for PF withdrawals of up to Rs 50,000 from June 1. The government has notified raising the threshold limit of PF withdrawal for deduction of tax (TDS) from existing Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000, a senior official said. PTI

Birla Sun Life Insurance has launched SecurePlus Plan which offers life cover for the policyholder plus two benefit options at the end of the policy term. In first option, if a customer has paid Rs 1 lakh per annum for 12 years, he will receive Rs 1 lakh in 14th year followed by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 lakh in 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th year, respectively. HARCO net profit up at Rs 42 crore in FY16

The Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank Limited (HARCO) has earned a gross profit of Rs 41.97 crore and net profit of Rs 23.80 crore for the year 2015-16. The bank increased its deposits from Rs 2,179.55 crore as on March 31, 2015 to Rs 3,104.91 crore as on March 31, 2016. It advanced loan of Rs 7,608.07 crore during the year as compared to Rs 6,748.60 crore advanced during 2014-15. Tns
