Japanese auto major Honda today announced top management changes in its Indian subsidiary — Honda Cars India (HCIL) — with Katsushi Inoue being appointed as new president & CEO with effect from April 1, as the incumbent Hironori Kanayama is due to retire and return to Japan.

Hiroyuki Shimizu will be the new senior vice-president & director, marketing & sales, in HCIL.

Also, Yoshiyuki Matsumoto, managing officer, Honda Motor Co Ltd, who was the representative of development, purchasing and production in Asia and Oceania since April 2013 and was stationed in India, moves to Japan after completing his tenure, HCIL said.

“He will take over as the chief operating officer of the Automobile Operations at Honda Motor Co Ltd.
