Valuers Bill will ‘curb’ trade malpractices

All 54 chapters of the Institution of Valuers (IOV) have filed for ‘Valuers Bill’ in Parliament which helps in regular checks on fake valuers. Fake valuers provide loss not only to individuals but also to the nation. “This Bill will ensure smooth conduct of trade and prescribe eligibility criteria for professionals. Industry demands four years of academic degree and 10 years of experience to be a qualified professional,” said Ramandeep Singh Khanna, secretary, IOV, at a seminar on Tuesday. TNS
