Tata Motors on Wednesday reported 49.82% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,176.16 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017-18. It had posted net profit of Rs 4,336.43 crore in the corresponding period of 2016-17. It consolidated income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 91,279.09 crore. PTI

India’s largest IT services firm TCS on Wednesday said it has expanded operations in Florida, US, with over 430 employees joining the company as part of its deal with Transamerica. In January, TCS had signed an over $2-billion deal with Transamerica to administer the latter’s life insurance, annuity, supplemental health insurance, and workplace voluntary benefits products. PTI

Pfizer recalls 1.8 m antibiotic vials from US

Pfizer Inc has recalled over 1.80 million vials of piperacillin and tazobactam, which were manufactured in India, from the US market. According to the USFDA, the product was manufactured by Hospira Healthcare India Pvt Limited, a Pfizer company, at its plant at Irungattukottai near Chennai to be sold in the US. PTI
