NEW DELHI:Former Railway Board chairman Ashwani Lohani was on Wednesday appointed chairman and managing director of Air India, according to a government order.

Former Railway Board chairman Ashwani Lohani was on Wednesday appointed chairman and managing director of Air India, according to a government order. 

This will be Lohani’s second tenure as Air India chief. His appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Wednesday, sources said. Lohani’s first tenure in Air India was from August 2015 to August 2017. — PTI
