Airtel Q3 profit dips 54% on RJio woes

Airtel today reported over 54% fall in consolidated net profit to Rs 503.7 for the October-December quarter due to “turbulence” from “predatory pricing” of newcomer Reliance Jio. The consolidated income declined by 3% during the reported period to Rs 23,363.9 crore from Rs 24,103.4 crore in corresponding period of 2015-16.

HDFC Bank’s net up 15.14%

HDFC Bank today reported a 15.14% growth in net profit to Rs 3,865.33 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.

Total income rose to Rs 20,748.27 crore during the December quarter, up 13.48%, from Rs 18,283.31 crore in the year-ago period.

HCL Tech Q3 net up 7.8%

HCL Technologies today posted a 7.8% jump in net profit at Rs 2,070 crore for the December quarter, helped by growth in public services business and infrastructure services.

Revenues for the country’s fourth-largest IT company were up 14.2% at Rs 11,814 crore in the said quarter over the year-ago period, in line with Street expectations.

SBBJ profit Rs 57.84 crore

State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur posted a net profit of Rs 57.84 crore in the quarter ended on December 31 in the current FY vis-a-vis Rs 206.13 crore in the same period last fiscal. Business level of the bank has reached a figure of Rs 1,78,200 crore (YoY growth 9.47%), said Dibakar Mohanty, managing director of the bank on Sunday.

DHFL profit up 31.67%

DHFL has posted a net profit growth of 31.67% to Rs 244.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016. Assets under Management grew by 18.70% quarter-on-quarter, reaching Rs 78,295.81 crore from Rs 65,962.21 crore as on December 31, 2015. — PTI/TNS
