Youth parliament concludes

Bathinda: The youth parliament organised by Delhi Public Day concluded on Tuesday. SDM Sakshi Sawhney attended the event. Students were given different portfolios and agendas that were to be discussed in parliament. Students did their research work and provided solutions as to initiate a defence against aggression asserted by the neighbouring countries. The parliament comprised of heated debates, different opinions, critical thinking and drafted resolutions for the first two days while a final resolution to the problem was prepared in a formal document on the third day. The parliament’s procedure and ruling were based on the popular practice of MUN (Model United Nations). The SDM applauded the efforts of students and said the future of the country was in safe and responsible hands.
