Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) Shailesh Kumar Pathak visited the Bathinda railway station and reviewed the work of railway line between Bathinda and Katar Singhwala here on Monday. Divisional Railway Manager Dinesh Sharma, along with other railway officials, welcomed Pathak at the station.
Station Superintendent Ramswaroop Meena said, “The CCRS visited the Bathinda railway station to review the work under way for double lining of railway track on the Bathinda-Delhi section. Apart from 3.5 kilometres from Bathinda to Katar Singhwala, work on the rest of the railway line has already been completed. He will submit a report at the Delhi head office regarding the progress made in the project so far.”
Notably, General Manager, Northern Railway, TP Singh would also visit the Bathinda railway junction on March 16. The railway officials said they would put forward the demand of starting a train service from Bathinda to Ludhiana via Dhuri.
