Videos of SAD leaders facing protests and gherao staged by residents went viral on the social media recently.

In the first incident occurred around four days ago, a video showing residents staging a protest, against Jagdeep Singh Nakai, who is a former MLA and SAD candidate from the Mansa Assembly segment, had gone viral on the social media.

The SAD leader faced the protest in Ubbha village of Mansa where residents had opposed his entry to the village. The residents were seen raising slogans of “murdabad murdabad” against the SAD and its candidate Nakai. The residents stopped the campaigning van of Nakai and while raising slogans, they asked the leaders to leave their village. They raised slogans like ‘mazdooran uppar zulam karn wali sarkar murdabad.’ The video has gone viral on social networking sites and mobile application.

Nakai had faced the protest from the public in various villages of Mansa earlier also.

On January 6, residents of Jawaharke village gheraoed Rajya Sabha SAD MP Balwinder Singh Bhundar who was going to meet his party workers and leaders in Jawaharke village. The video of the incident went viral on the social media. The residents, mostly the youth, were annoyed over the local SAD leaders of the village who allegedly destroyed the wall of a local government school where the village youth used to play basketball every evening. MP Bhundar’s son Dilraj Singh Bhundar is in fray for the upcoming poll and Bhundar is campaigning for his son in various villages. — TNS
