Two students held for theft

BATHINDA: The Mansa police arrested two students of Government Senior Secondary School, Bhaini Bagha village, on Thursday on the charge of stealing 13 CCTV cameras installed on their school premises.

The Mansa police arrested two students of Government Senior Secondary School, Bhaini Bagha village, on Thursday on the charge of stealing 13 CCTV cameras installed on their school premises. The police produced the duo in a local court that sent them to one-day police remand. The students had allegedly stolen the cameras and hid them in a vacant room in the school. The school staff had reported the matter to the Sadar police, which investigated into the theft and caught the duo. Both the accused are students of Class XI. According to the police, the accused come from poor backgrounds. Sadar police SHO Balvinder Singh said all 13 cameras have been recovered.
