To motivate youth, Startup Yatra reaches Barnala

BARNALA: ‘Startup India Punjab Yatra’, which is being organised by the Punjab Government, in collaboration with the Government of India, across the state to spread awareness about startup ecosystem and explore aspiring and grassroots entrepreneurs, on Friday reached Barnala at a private educational institute.

‘Startup India Punjab Yatra’, which is being organised by the Punjab Government, in collaboration with the Government of India, across the state to spread awareness about startup ecosystem and explore aspiring and grassroots entrepreneurs, on Friday reached Barnala at a private educational institute.

Barnala Deputy Commissioner Dharam Pal Gupta, along with ADC (G) Ruhi Dugg and other administrative officials, college authorities and students received the Yatra van on the college premises.

While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the ‘Startup Yatra’ would act as a platform to spread awareness about the policies and incentives of the Punjab Government under the startup scheme and would provide an opportunity to the youths to turn their innovative ideas into reality.

He added that the interested students would be registered for attending boot camps.

“Punjab Infotech is organising this yatra on behalf of the state government .The main objective of the Startup Yatra is to motivate the youth, create self-employment, upgrading the skills of entrepreneurs and to provide them support to set up their units under professional guidance,” the Deputy Commissioner added.

ADC Ruhi Dugg said the Punjab Government had also started the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises inside District Administrative Complex, Barnala, to educate and sensitise the youth to career and employment.
