Three cases of liquor smuggling were registered in the district today. In the first case, the police have recovered 30 boxes of illicit liquor made in Haryana. The police stopped a vehicle for checking at Sukhladhi village and while searching, they recovered the boxes of liquor from Dharampal Singh, a resident of Malwal village.

In the second case, the police recovered 40 bottles of countrymade liquor of a Haryana brand from Raj Singh, a resident of Giana village.

In the third case, Rajiv Kumar of Chak Fateh Singhwala village was arrested with 15 bottles of countrymade liquor of a Haryana brand during checking at Chak Fateh Singhwala village.
